This receiver came with a 24v Dynamotor. The firsdt thing to do was relube the bearings. I bought a 24v switching power supply to provide the proper voltage for the Dyanmotor.
I am in the process of recapping this receiver. I have already replaced the six capacitors that are mounted directly behind the front panel. I am in the process of replacing the capacitors on the terminal boards, mounted underneath.
My plans for this receiver is to pair it with a Heathkit DX-20 transmitter for the Novice Rig Roundup. I am more interested in getting this former military equipment on the air, rather than restore a “garage queen’.
I will not be drilling any holes into the cabinet. It will look just like it did when it was shipped from the manufacturer.
